Evaluation and fitting of a numerical model for reinforced concrete thin walls through experimental results of monotonic and cyclic loading tests

چکیده
Reinforced concrete thin walls buildings have become one of the most common alternatives for housing construction in Colombia. However, some studies on this system reported that a limited deformation capacity and may suffer brittle failures. In paper, numerical model developed OpenSees was used to represent behavior slender reinforced walls. The evaluated fitted with experimental response two representative type high seismic hazard zone, addition results cyclic tests other investigations similar characteristics. indicated that, despite reaching moderate capacity, 1% drift limit, level damage severe lost 77% 67% their initial stiffness, respectively, which confirms performance is provides warning design practices be insufficient. simulation correlated well terms displacement strength, hysteric behavior.
